Almost Envious

I have to admit, after I was almost blinded by the sun glistening off the hoar frost covered trees this morning, and then again on the snow covered fields this afternoon, I was almost a little envious of all you people spending Christmas on the Island. What with those late November, early December showers, and those warm gentle breezes coming in off the ocean. And to top it all off it looks like you're to be able to get fire wood really cheap this year.
But as the thermometer managed to climb to 0 degrees this afternoon life didn't seem so bad here in old Saskatchewan. As the sun warmed the inside of my backhoe my mind drifted to even warmer sunny days. Days spent at the lake, maybe fishing or swimming.

Anyways just wanted to wish all you BC folk a merry Christmas and a happy new year

From an Old Stink Weed Growing in the Lily Patch

Hope to see you all soon.

okay now that is hilarious. What an awesome picture.

Yes it is warm and rainy and green and slightly breezy where we are. We have not been hit with the nasty storms they are talking about on the news. It's mostly the west coast that gets hit although we do get some wind. We were without power for 3 hours through all of the storms and we are only one block from the water so it's not too bad. I am a sissy, woos (?) wimp etc...call me what you want but I still hate snow. I would rather it rain like it has because I can drive in the rain, I don't have to shovel it and it still keeps everything green. I don't have to scrape my windows or sweep my car, or wear boots or gloves or wear a different jacket than I wore in Sept. It's just all the same. I love it! I did my time as a prairie person and I still do not look back and long for one single part of winter. So there is my rant for the day. Today it was +9 and just an all around nice day. There was only one thing missing and that was you. Sure wish we could have gone for coffee.
Miss you and I also wish you a very merry Christmas and I hope that you all have a wonderful time in Melfort. For that I would come out there. I love you all and miss you all very much.
God Bless you all!!

Too funny. I am pretty sure I wouldn't want to try that in SK. I will keep my snorkeling experiences in Mexico.
