"BEACH HUT" here I come !!!

Mom and I are going to BC from the 15th - 30th. I will be able to attend both Carrie and Kyle's and Kathy and Mark's weddings. In a few short days this is were I will be sitting and having coffee and maybe a screamer(some kind of delicious ice cream treat), maybe a smokie or poutine. The possibilities are endless. And since Marv isn't going with me I have to have his share too. I may...WILL have to go for many walks along the ocean and stomp gooey ducks. And Coombs Market.....need I say more?

I am also going to go to one of Dad's favorite places on this earth, Cathedral Grove. I so wish I could have shared the experience of walking through the big cedar trees with him when he was still with us. This is going to be kind of a memorial service, since most of his B.C. grandkids couldn't be at the funeral or at the hospital too say goodbye. I feel kind of wierd looking forward to such a sad occasion. Maybe I will feel close to him there, I don't know. I know I'll be close to alot of people who loved him as much as I did.

It also feels strange to be away from Marv for that long. We have never been apart for more that about a week since we go married 28 years ago.

Going to Eagles Cove

I really have mixed feelings about this missions trip. First, I hate to leave Mom and Dad at this time. There is still so much to do to get them ready to move. Second , I don't travel well. I am thinking I should just take a bunch of gravol and climb in the back of the van and sleep for the duration of the trip. I do really want to be at the camp and do whatever we need to do to help Bera and Bonita get it ready for thier first Bible Camp this summer. Minus the mosquitos and the black flies it will be a great time.

REALITY CHECK!!!

I think this is more what it will be like.

Beautiful ? Yes.

You just can't see the mosquitos and black flies.

I will keep working on having a positive attitude.

I think I can endure a few insect bites for the cause.
